Dramatica Tip of the Month

One way to think of the Story Driver (Action v. Decision) is to think of the story events that fundamentally change the course of the story. Ask yourself, if "x" had not happened, it is likely that "y" would have happened anyway. If the answer is "yes," then "x" is not driving the story forward. If the answer is "no," then "y" MAY be the driving force moving the story forward.
