How & Why Dramatica Is Different
From Other Story Paradigms
by Chris Huntley

Based on the series of articles below, here is an article about how and why Dramatica is different from five other story paradigms. More specifically, I compare Dramatica to the works of "Hollywood" gurus Syd Field, Robert McKee, Christopher Vogler, Michael Hauge, and John Truby. For an audio podcast of this article, click here.

NOTE: I have recently added a comparison to Linda Seger which has been incorporated into the larger article yet. Click here to read the Linda Seger / Dramatica comparison.

To make things simpler, I have created five shorter versions comparing Dramatica to each of the five story paradigms. Though not as comprensive as the complete article, these target specific story paradigm comparisons.

This is the original series of ongoing articles that explores Dramatica's similarities and dissimilarities with other story paradigm's. Feel free to send comments or questions to me at: dramatica@screenplay.com. Please put "Dramatica Question" in the subject line.
