Another good use of the Story Points table is
in the rewriting stages. We can keep all the material we love
and fancy, yet change the structure to obtain a different
effect on our
story. Want a happier ending? A "Success/Good" finale that
will brighten this dark comedy? We
don't have to scratch out the scene where the hero is condemned, just change
it
to another place and give it another function. The material remains—it is the structure that changes. And the structure adapts to whatever
story we want to create with our cherished material. Speaking of rewriting
stages, let's see what Dramatica has to offer for
these final phases of the development process and
for fully finishing a complete draft. |
