UNDERSTAND, CREATE, AND For the beginner --and sometimes for the expert as well-- Dramatica can be quite puzzling: throwing dense, tough, terms into your story and leaving it up to you to change them into entertaining, appealing, parts of your screenplay. I've found that the best way to turn those cold appreciations into actual writing is by asking the appropriate question: a brainteaser, a poser whose answer would spark your creative fire and show you that, deep inside, those intricate appreciations hide the key to a compelling, delightful screenplay. Here are the questions that have helped me break through the Dramatica puzzle:
