Welcome
to the preview of the preliminary version of "Dramatica
for Screenwriters,"
a new book written by Armando Saldaña Mora (creator of "Instant
Dramatica") and produced by Write Brothers, Inc.
Unlike the
Dramatica Theory Book which focuses
on nature of the Dramatica theory of story, "Dramatica for Screenwriters"
is more of a "how-to" book for screenwriters. Here's how Armando
describes the book:
It fundamentally
covers the practical use of Dramatica and the art of screenwriting.
Content-wise, this is somehow similar to what I've done at the Dramatica
list --and what has proved to work and got popular amongst Dramatica
users: creative approaches, comprehensive exercises and illustrative
explanations. Style-wise it has a personal experience
style: a more this is what works for me instead of the This
Is The Word Of God style favored by authors like [fill-in-your-favorite-Hollywood-story-guru-here].
It's important
to note that this is a preliminary version of the book. There was some
editing and revisions made tothese materials before the book went to
print.
