DRAMATICA WEEKEND WORKSHOP
Saturday & Sunday, January 19 & 20, 2008
(Workshop Outline Below)

Chris HuntleyChris Huntley, Academy Award winner and co-creator of Dramatica, leads a weekend workshop designed as a practical introduction to Dramatica, a bridge between "traditional" story concepts and Dramatica's own tools for story development and analysis.

This workshop has writing exercises peppered throughout to put what you learn immediately into practice. Though many film clips are used to illustrate Dramatica concepts, the focus of the workshop is on STORY and is valuable for novelists, playrights, and other storytellers in addition to screenwriters.

Some of the topics to be covered include: creating realistic character growth, exploring the single biggest problem a story can have and learning how to avoid it, using the eight story dynamics to give a story coherence and meaning, developing solid plots that integrate character, theme, and genre, and more.

The workshop is held at the offices of Write Brothers in Glendale, CA (location information).
